Despite the spike in gas prices, Americans still love their cars. The Internet
is filled with information on cars, autos, trucks, SUVs, motorcycles, mini-bikes, and
other modes of transportation. The websites listed below will help you find information about car
buying, repairs and maintenance, and more.
Car Talk
If you love cars or if your little beauty is acting up, don't miss Car Talk on National
Public Radio. Each week, Tom and Ray Magliozzi (a.k.a. "The Tappit Brothers")
answer listener's questions about life's great mysteries - and they occasionally help people
who are having trouble with their cars, too! One of the funniest shows on radio for
nearly 20 years. Their website has a directory of car repair shops recommended by their
listeners, as well as some great stories about how people get into trouble with their cars.
General Motors
General Motors is the granddaddy of American car makers. Divisions include Chevrolet, Buick,
Pontiac, GMC, Saturn, Hummer, Saab, and Caddilac.
Ford Motor Corporation
A constant innovator and maker of cars since founder Henry Ford's legendary Model T.
Many Ford cars have been synonymous with the American Dream, notably the Ford Mustang
and Thunderbird.
Chrysler Motors
A car maker with a history of ups and downs. Currently undergoing another rebirth as
their last owner, European carmaker Daimler.
Please feel free to suggest other websites that concern autos, cars, trucks, motocycles, SUVs, and mobile homes.
